Beverly Hills, CA- Christopher Guy will host a private award presentation and cocktail reception sponsored by Architectural Digest at the Christopher Guy Beverly Hills showroom on Thursday evening, May 5. The winner and runner up of the Christopher Guy BritWeek Design Award competition will be announced at this gathering. Guests will include prominent interior design professionals in the Los Angeles area, BritWeek organization and their guests, design teachers and the winners of the competition.
Competitors have been challenged to create a lifestyle setting or furniture piece for the Christopher Guy brand to include in its upcoming Mademoiselle collection which will be launched in January 2012. The Christopher Guy Mademoiselle line will be based on an interpretation of Coco Chanel’s home and the furniture pieces she would have, were she alive today. Ooh la la!.
Christopher Guy Harrison is a British luxury furniture designer who is well-known for fusing classicism with modernism in his designs. He is the founder and head designer of the international furnishings brand Christopher Guy. Originally known for a wide-range of decorative mirrors, the Christopher Guy brand grew into a collection of upholstery, chairs, dining tables, sofas, headboards and office furniture. Christopher's signature design includes the patented Chris-X leg design.
In January the talented designer held an intimate "Breakfast At Tiffany's" themed cocktail party at his Beverly Hills flagship store. Elegantly dressed guests sipped on martinis and noshed on hours d'oeuvres as the chatted and enjoyed tunes from a live jazz quartet.
