Hollywood, CA- The iconic Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel's Tropicana Pool and Bar set the stage for this year's LA Times Rock/Style event that attracted music lovers and glamazons galore. Hosted and deejayed by KROQ's DJ Stryker with a performance by The Pierces and non-stop runway action, the event kept guests on their toes.
Fashionable Guests
Guests noshed on small bites and sipped on cocktails by Coco Brevé, a bubbly, alcoholic beverage made with coconut water. A very colorful and festive Samba dance troupe and live band kicked off the runway show which was sponsored by Brasil at Macy's. The fashion line-up included colorful and daring swimwear, edgy rocker gear, preppy nautical attire and a playful Brasil inspired collection.
Gucci Girl author Carin von Berg
The LuxLady channeled her inner-rocker by pairing a beloved linen, 3.1 Phillip Lim tank with a pair of cut-off Levi's, topped with an edgy blazer by Elizabeth and James. Naturally, she carried a Chanel bag, her constant companion.
Creator/Designer of The Lace Project Jaquelyn Dobernic
There were some interesting wares to be seen in addition to the endless parade of street-fashion. A jewelry company that specializes in handmade lace bracelets, The Lace Project, was on display as was a truly innovative company named After Midnight that has patented a special gel formula that numbs the pads of your feet to alleviate that excruciating pain that all glamazons who are doing fashion right know too well when the clock strikes a certain hour.
