Refine Mixer's CEO Patrick Castles and E!'s Ashlan Gorse
Venice, CA- What better way to enjoy great weather, good food and yummy, guilt-free cocktails than to gather LA's top influencers at an exclusive beach house hideaway. On June 27, E! Entertainment's Ashlan Gorse joined Refine Mixers' CEO Patrick Castles for an invite-only, rooftop, summer soiree for a fun mixology and food pairing lesson.
Guests learned to create four cocktails using Refine's all-natural, zero calorie and sugar-free mixers: The Venice Peach Bellini made from Prosecco, muddled peach and a splash Refine's Mojito Mixer; the Abbot's Margarita of tequila, muddled watermelon and basil, and two parts of Refine's Margarita Mixer; the Morrison's Mojito made from muddled raspberries and blackberries, rum, a splash of club soda and Refine's Mojito Mixer; and the Canal Side Cosmo which consists of muddled cherries, vodka, and two parts of Refine's Cosmopolitan Mixer. With all of that drinking it was definitely good to know that all of the cocktails contained 100 calories or less!
Kale, Beet and Avocado and Farro Salads from Gjelina
The refreshing and summery drinks were paired with equally summery and healthy foods from Gjelina, one of the top-rated restaurants in Los Angeles. Guests enjoyed a Marinated Beet and Avocado Salad with a citrus dressing, a Farro Salad with chunks of feta, Quinuoa Salad, Raw Kale Salad and a Tuscan bread with stewed tomatoes, mozzarella and basil.
Down below, guests were treated to a braid bar, courtesy of Joico, where they received beachy waves and waterfall braids by celebrity colorist George Papanikolas, sweet treats, and goodie bags.
